Effy: Founder, CEO & Costume Designer
"I moved to Vancouver almost 6 years ago from Ireland and have been dancing in the nightlife scene since then. I was drawn to the stage by watching other dancers under that spotlight; sharing their soul through their moves. I have a background in Ballet, Jazz and Irish dance and luckily freestyle came naturally, I was soon dancing for some of the biggest names in Electronic Music from John Digweed, Sasha, and Chris Lake, my favorite style has always been House Music. My dream has come true. I then started Zynth & Co. and now I get to make the costumes for my team and curate entertainment for my clients events. I have since been lucky enough to book at Squamish Music Festival and Diner En Blanc, and many many others and have grown to add to my business team. I cherish every event I get to bring Zynth & Co. too"
Desiree: President, Marketing & Media, Choreographer
"Dance has been in my life for over 23 years and I can’t imagine a day without it. I attended UVic where I received a Bachelors in Fine Arts with a Double Minor in Business and Film. Here I also ran the non-profit dance company Victoria Dance Theatre for 4 years. I have trained and lived in LA, New York, Calgary and Montreal. After I was hit by a car in 2012, I wasn’t sure dance could be part of my life any longer. I spent a year recovering in Montreal, managing a band and learning how to dance again with the damage my accident left behind. Now as a West-Coast convert, I am a firm believer nothing is impossible. This past year living in Vancouver beyond becoming a partner in Zynth & Co, traveled to LA and shot a music video at Universal Studios and have shared the stage with some amazing artists including Bif Naked, Destineak and Porter Robinson. I am trained in multiple dance styles and love to produce unique choreography. I proudly cheer for the BC Lions and work as a freelance writer, social media manager, promo model and of course dancer. I love getting to bring my dance, management and marketing skills to the table (or podium) here at Zynth.
